Club Overview
The New Jersey Live Steamers
is a 501c7 hobby club for railroad enthusiasts, focusing on building and operating fully-working replicas of our favorite trains and allied equipment in several scales.
The purpose of the club is to bring together people who share a common interest in railroad operation and historically accurate, precision model construction of operating live-steam models of locomotives, rolling stock, and allied equipment. We are amateur hobbyists, committed to historic preservation, while pursuing the hobby we love, thereby enhancing the well-being of our members.
Club Facility
NJLS offers the following track gauges:
Gauge 1: Three 200′ loops
(1 electrified loop)
3½”:700′ elevated track
4¾”: 700′ elevated track
4¾”: 900′ ground track
7¼”: 2330′ in two loops (1080′ & 1250′)
