NJLS Meetings:
Monthly Business Meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday of every month (except December) beginning at 2 pm.
Monthly Work Days are held on the 1st Saturday of every month. We usually start work projects at about 8am. We can find a project for everyone who attends! (Thank you for the help!) We each bring our own lunch (to eat, if you wish, about noon), then finish work for the day at about 2 or 3 pm.
As previously noted, changes (and additions) to this schedule will be provided to members via The Whistle Blast newsletter and e-mails sent directly to members. Those members without an e-mail account should partner with a member who does use email, and who can alert you to updates.
Regarding WORKDAYS: We always need you! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! If you have any concerns, such as the weather, the condition of the parking lot (too muddy? too icy?), or you're wondering if people are actually there working that day, you may want to: CALL THE CLUBHOUSE before you leave home: 908 604 2770 Workdays begin at about 8am and end "when we're done with the project for that day," usually ending at about 3pm. Bring your own lunch, etc., and try to bring your own tools, so that many people can work at the same time. (Write your name on your tools with permanent marker.) Please help to maintain and improve the club. For example, the following tasks always! need to be done, and re-done, and re-done: Cleaning up debris & leaves, cleaning the kitchen and the bathrooms, sweeping & washing the floors, etc. Many thanks to all of you who so willingly come out and work on our club. Reminder regarding Signing-in upon arrival !: Everyone on the NJLS property must sign in upon arrival. Please go in to the Clubhouse, and write your name & the time you arrive (and leave), so we know you are on the grounds somewhere. This is for everyone's safety. Also, everyone who enters the NJLS property (Everyone! No exceptions!) must sign the required Liability Waiver forms (once per year). Please come to the club house upon your arrival, and ask for a Liability Waiver - one for each and every individual person, including each minor (who must be signed for by their Parents or Legal Guardians).
As always, you can call the clubhouse, if you want to verify that members are present. Clubhouse Phone is: 908 604 2770. Reminder: ALL NJLS ACTIVITIES ARE FOR MEMBERS AND INVITED GUESTS ONLY. NJLS is never open to the public. We are a 501c7 hobby club (not a 501c3), and we are not allowed to give rides. Members build and own their own equipment; there is none to "borrow."
