NJLS PROCEDURESREGARDING CORONAVIRUS and other health concerns: In the interest of the safety of our members, it is important to know that Covid virus and other contagious illnesses are still considered to be at a high level in our region. We cannot assume that we are safe while at NJLS, or anywhere else. You need to be aware of that, and make the personal decision whether or not to enter the NJLS property. Your safety is your responsibility. ALL events and meetings are to be held in strict compliance with federal, state, and CDC guidelines. COVID Virus and other contagious illness protocols are in effect until further notice: There is absolutely no assurance that attendees are vaccinated! Therefore, social distancing, facial masks, and frequent hand washing will be in place if the state so requires. In the interest of the safety of all our members, or if required by state guidelines, be prepared to maintain a 6-foot social distance from other people, and bring a mask to wear as needed. If you are sick for any reason, please do not attend. If following NJ State laws is unacceptable, please do not attend. Monthly Business Meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday of every month except December. All meetings begin at 2pm. They will be held outdoors, IF weather permits, or indoors, IF allowed by state guidelines re social distancing. If the weather is very bad, no meeting will be held at all. In that instance, members will be notified by email. Work Days are held on the 1st Saturday of every month. Workdays will continue as usual, with the expectation that most work is done outdoors. If attendees need to go indoors, or are working outdoors in very close quarters, then appropriate safety measures should be taken, such as masks and social distancing, as needed.

Regarding WORKDAYS: We always need you! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! If you have any concerns, such as the weather, the condition of the parking lot, or you're wondering if people are actually there working that day, you may want to: CALL THE CLUBHOUSE before you leave home: 908-604-2770 Workdays beginat about 8am and end "when we're done with the project for thatday," usually ending at about 3pm. Bring your own lunch, etc., and try to bring your own tools, so that many people can work at the same time. (Write your name on your tools with permanent marker.) Please help to maintain and improve the club. For example, the following tasks always need to be done, and re-done, and re-done:Cleaning up debris & leaves, mowing the grass, weed-whacking & trimming the areas that can't be reached with the mower, cleaning the kitchen & the bathrooms, sweeping & washing the floors, etc. Many thanks to all of you who so willingly come out and work on our club.
INFORMATION FOR ALL REGARDING ATTENDANCE AT NJLS: Reminder regarding Signing-in: Everyone on the NJLS property must sign in upon arrival. Please go in to the Clubhouse, and write your name & the time you arrive (and leave), so we know you are on the grounds somewhere. This is for everyone's safety. Also, everyone who enters the NJLS property (no exceptions!) must sign the required Liability Waiver forms (once per year). Please come to the club house upon your arrival, and ask for a copy of the liability waiver - for each and every individual person, including each minor (who must be signed for by their Parents or Legal Guardians).
As always, you can call the clubhouse, if you want to verify that members are present. Clubhouse Phone is: 908 604 2770. Reminder: ALL NJLS ACTIVITIES ARE FOR MEMBERS AND INVITED GUESTS ONLY. NJLS is never open to the public. We are a 501c7 hobby club (not a 501c3), and we are not allowed to give public rides. There are no club-owned trains, etc. for you to borrow. Members supply their own equipment, and need to obtain their own personal insurance coverages.
